I was photographing a herd of Pronghorn when a neighbor started up an ATV. This explosion of activity and confusion was the result.

She won several awards in high school and later in local shows in Indiana. Her love of animals led to a degree in Forestry and Wildlife Management from Purdue University. Since college, Lana’s career has taken her all over the country with the National Park Service and U.S. Forest Service. Even though art took a backseat during this time, Lana compiled an impressive photo library on which to base future paintings. She is now retired and starting a second career as an artist.
